Well we're officially/unofficially moved in.You know, that awkward phase where you have all of you stuff in the new location but now you need to unpack. We're there. The kitchen, bathroom and bedroom are set up but we still have a lot of things to hang or decide where we want them. I was impressed with our progress yesterday and everything is out of the old place. WIN!
Pros of the new place:
Its so quiet here, I love it. Our old apartment was off a very busy main road but here it's in a small town set back off the main road. Thus far, its appreciated.
We have more room here; meaning my clothes actually fit in my closet. Well almost. I still need to do a run to Ikea for a new dresser but this is a huge improvement from my ghetto closet from our old apartment.
Cons:
The living room. Its smaller, a lot smaller then our old one so our massive couch doesn't look quiet right. It also means finding a home for the TV is also difficult.
Overall, its a work in progress but considering how negative my outlook was on this move I'm pretty pleased thus far.
Bailey seems to be adjusting pretty well, she was at doggy daycare all yesterday and then we brought her here. She seemed confused and not thrilled with all the boxes but as always she has adjusted very well.
Tonight is the night I have been waiting for! I have been wanting to go see War Horse (the play) for literally years. I heard about the play before the movie ever came out but I was never able to make it down to Lincoln Center in NYC to see it. Two Christmas's ago Chris and I saw the movie on Christmas Day and I loved the story. Before I moved to Seattle I randomly heard it was going to be here 2/2013, it's like it was following me! Anyways, we're going tonight and I am so excited, Chris bought me tickets for a late valentines day present and even though we're still in the middle of unpacking it will be a good night to get out.
Stay tuned for my review!
