V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N-S 2013

It's been busy lately. I feel like days and weeks are flying by, which is a good thing but sometimes its good to slow down.
I finally moved into my own office at work and I'm loving it more then I ever thought I would. I do however need to decorate in a major way. Looking at beige colored walls for 9 hours a day makes me feel like I'm in a mental ward. I never really talk about work but it's going well, really well in fact. I almost feel like I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop, that's how well it's going. I was promoted to my current position back in February and while I'm still getting things together I feel confident in this role.
The weather here has been beautiful. Last weekend was sunny and almost 70, I was able to go downtown, get breakfast, shop and enjoy Pikes for the first time of the season. It may be a tourist trap but its hard to beat on a summer day. Its days like that when Chris working Saturdays sucks.... all well, the time alone was well spent.

I've been busy trying to plan our vacation for the rest of the year. Since we fly all across the country our vacations are planned way ahead of time My mom and I are going to Ohio for a weekend this summer. Ohio itself isn't my ideal vacation destination but we are going to Cedar Point so I'm looking forward to it plus it quality time with my mom. I also plan on heading home a week afterwards to spend time there with my best friend, Ashley, CANNOT WAIT! No matter how long I live somewhere else my little beach town in Connecticut will always be home to me <3 We are tentativly planning a trip to Alaska a long weekend in the summer, probably July. I'm excited to go! Chris on the other hand would do anything to get out of it, he's not a fan of his hometown or state. And finally Christmas and New Years. Believe it or not we already have our plans. I will be most likely going home for Christmas by myself and then fly and meet Chris in Las Vegas for New Years. Christmas is my favorite holiday but in order for us to do a big New Years (Chris's favorite holiday) we'll need to budget for both and flights then are always expensive. Last year our Christmas and New Years present was Bailey, so since Chris missed out on his favorite holiday he is stoked to go to Vegas. I on the other hand HATE New Years. I have always felt like it stands in Christmas's shadow. Christmas is a season while New Years is just the bad hang over from Christmas and the time you take down the tree.
